Question for anyone. I have been given some(8-10) 2 Dollar bills. Are they worth anything more than 2 dollars. What do I look for on paper currency?I also was given a really old 1 dollar bill that I suspect is valuable but again,....dont know what to look for.

Also have a 1976-1776 uncirc proof set and a 1975 Silver Proof set.The Silver proof show some toning.Sometimes that adds to value....what about in this instance?Looking to see what these are also valued at.

Any help?

Bills:

Just like coins, it depends on the year(s) and condition. What are yours? Sometimes if they have an interesting serial number, they can be worth something. (A low number..A00000005A or a "Ladder" A12345678A or somthing odd A11122233A Or if they are Star Notes. (A star at the end of the serial number instead of a letter.)

I'm not an expert on currency but you can sometimes get an idea by searching EBay for comparables.

Regarding the sets: There were lots of the Bicenntenial sets made so they're probably not that valuable. The toning, depending on how nice it is, can add value.

For some reason I remember the early bills were missing a figure in the first printing of original 1976 reverse signing of the Declaration of Independence later to have them installed. But I could be wrong. And I think it was just a head in the end.
