How can I be of help to you?? What kinds of information would you want me to post in here??

How about we finding out what programs people do use and how skilled they feel they are? Beginner, intermediate, advanced, no-clue what to do? When they bought/downloaded the program what did they want to use it for? Photo sharing? Photo retouching? Scrapbooking? Crafts (what kind)? Web graphics? Making avatars and signatures? Then maybe introduce them to graphics concepts with tutorials once a week or month and ask them to post the results? Otherwise, maybe a graphics contest if you can get enough willing. Maybe something like graphics.com does? Outré

How many different graphic programs are out there? I have a scrapbook+ program that is user freindly and am interested in 3-D type graphics.

The list of graphics and photo editor programs seems to get longer every year. You can seen a list of Raster Graphics programs (description) here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_raster_graphics_editors ... a list of Vector Graphics programs (description) here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_vector_graphics_editors and finally a description and list of 3D Graphics programs here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_computer_graphics_software If you look at this page for Graphic Arts Software you'll find more details on the above as well as presentation, desktop publishing, and multimedia programs. I use the 3d cad/ cam program by east coast and would like to find another that could be used for more hobbyish things. Thanks Outre. (kinda sad that I cannot get that squigle over the e in your screen-name)

Oy! No worries. If you're on a PC, just hold the Alt key while typing 0233 on the keyboard keypad. If you're on a Mac I don't know what the routine is to get them. As a note, I have successfully cut and pasted characters like that in the past. Outré

Both are free and have extensive communities. Blender is used a lot by people on Renderosity and deviantart. The online 3D community There uses gmax to make buildings, vehicles, and clothing. I'm sure there are others that are freeware or Open Source listed on the page in my above message, these are just the free ones that I've seen a lot. Outré

Hey Outré hello my friend! Thank you for helping in here. I also have a section here listing free graphics software programs and some downloads you can check out libertyhead. http://www.24hourforums.com/view_topic.php?id=9303&forum_id=106 I tried challenges in here and I have my tuts posted on here but no one participated or does them. Sooo...that is why I am asking what do you want to see here.
