I am used to Adobe Photoshop because it was always the standard compliment to the Adobe Avid video editing software I used.

What do you dig for image editing and graphic work?

I've tried Photoshop but I prefer my Paint Shop Pro. I wish it did better quality animation  though. Does anyone know of a really good animation (gif) editor??

I was finally moved out of the dungeon. Woo Hoo!! :)

The compliment to Photoshop is ImageReady - another Adobe program. I use that for editing animated gifs... :)

I've used Paint Shop Pro for years and love many of it's intuitive features.

Crazy hubby gave me PS CS for my b-day, then PS CS2 for Xmas - the man is an eBay junkie!

Anyway, CS2 is better than CS for faster opening and a few cool tools. I hate PS's Pen Tool and lack of right-click menus. Doesn't mean I won't continue the monumental struggle ::pull:: to learn it though.

Hello Outre!!  I have CS2 also but just installed it tonight actually. Hubby uses it for his photo editing and I want to try  it out.  I'm betting PSP will still be #1 for me.

Hey Nancy ::whello::

Since my crazy hubby went and bought both versions I feel I have to learn to use them.::rolling::

I can't stand the Pen Tool in PS! When I want to remove something from it's background I do it in PSP and save it as a .psd. I can't believe they haven't included right-click menus yet.

Oh yeah, how do you like how you have to paste a copied image in - like from sxc.hu? That drives me bonkers every time. :bang9:

I think you might want PS for some things. The Layer Styles are a cool concept, but you might do what I do and switch back and forth.
