I'm now offering Graphic Tips and knowing what people are using will help me know what tips to offer.  What software do you use??

I use corel.  But then I have a graphics business and operate many different sytems of application.  Corel seems to blend nicely with most of them.  I used to pay a fortune for  a cadlink program (signlab) , but the cost compared to what I lose by going with Corel did not justify the thousands per year I was spending on it and it's updates.

Hope this is useful to you, but I suspect probably not, as I don't do the graphics for our site these days.  If I did, they would be much better !

(Here's hoping my admin doesn't ever read this!) LOL

Hey, I used to use Corel Draw too! I used it for the clip art. I had that big fat clip art reference book that came with it.

Took me a long time and a lot of moaning to downgrade from my Cadlink Signlab programme to Corel.  But it is a lot more compatible with many other programmes.

And I left my BIG BOOK with the jerks that bought my sign-writing and promotional business in the UK (and subsequently trashed it (the business not the book, after I had spent 4 years building ip up to not need any advertising at all!)  The w*nkers!

I know it's outdated, but I really don't want to dish out the money for "9". I use PSP7.

I have three graphic programs on my puter.  One is Paint, which I believe is by Microsoft. Another is ACDSee 3.1.  The last is Paint Shop Pro 8.

I'm using Photoshop 7, PSP 9 and Animation Factory.

For some reason, I can't get used to working with text in psp. I find working with it on Photoshop better but I find Animation factory easier to use with animations than Image Ready.

That could be because I can't find a single book to help me understand Image ready!

I also probably will benefit tons from your 'schools' on psp when you get them and will be able to understand the program and working within it better.

I use PSP XI and have an old version of animation factory around here somewhere. I don't do much with graphics these days but would love to get back into it. I miss the fun! lol

Thank you all for the responses.  We seem to have a good mixture of PSP and Photoshop on here.

I use PSP XI, and love it. I've consistently upgraded since PSP7.

I also use Animation Shop... but not so much now, as I find it too limiting.

I'd be interseted in knowing of any animation prgrams that i can easily cut and paste frames from PSP into.

I also use Flash... but only with their internal animators... I'm not THAT clever! But our website doesn't like Flash particularly (when providing a click through banner, as opposed to just an animated logo), so I'm on the hunt for a program that will convert it cleanly into a Gif, without causing graininess.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Mucho amor... Elle
