I receintly received this coin holder and decided to snap a shot of my Military Coin collection. These are given as an on the spot award for good deeds/work. There is also a few patches and some other items. Let me know if you have any questions, Ray

very interesting coins! ...i have a question in re: the iraqi currency with hussein's picture you sent to me ...do you think they will become collectors items? i loaned them to a boy for 'show and tell' at his school.

If they are signed by me then they may hold a small premium (Signed by a soldier) otherwise... I would say no as there are billions of the floating around and can be had very cheap.

Nice collection of challenge coins Ray. good idea to put'em all on a single display. Maybe I'll do the same thing, but you'll get kudos of course ;) I'd like to see a close up of the POW/MIA coin (top row, second from right). I collect some POW/MIA stuff and a challenge coin is one item I dont have, yet.

Thank you for keeping me on my toes Hambone I will start with the coin that you requested:   This coin was purchased at the local Clothing and Sales (Military store that we purchase basic issue stuff and specific items geared around soldiers). When I saw this coin I immediately knew I had to have one. Availability: Unknown

This coin was received during my first Operation Iraqi Freedom tour by General David H. Petraeus. This coin was issued in Mosul, Iraq to all the 101st Airborne Division Soldiers. The special event surrounding this coin is, General David H. Petraeus personally handed each soldier this coin, and shook their hand.   The Obverse has the names of some of the major cities that we assumed control of. The Reverse depicts actual combat pictures imposed onto the coin. This is my favorite coin. Availability: Unknown

Nice collection Ray. More than I have and all of mine are Air Force coins related to milestones in flight testing. Let me know if you ever are looking for AF coins, I can get my hands on some here and there.
