I think that as time moves on local police departments will have more and more involvement with Homeland Security and the term "Domestic Terrorism" will become redefined to mean "anyone who is a threat to national progress" and this will possibly begin to change local police departments to go from "friendly" to "hostile". The new "threat" will become more of your everyday generic patriot and similar to Islam it will become a "conform and submit or suffer the consequences" type of future.

Just looking in the crystal ball. ::chuckle::

The video makes a valid point Robo. And you're right, there are a lot of hard working, decent police out there.

The academies across the nation have been churning out a new mentality however, and it's scary. 30 years ago, a cop was told to look in the mirror every morning before work, in full uniform, and say, "Today, I am going to serve and protect." Because they worked with the lowest part of our sociesty most of the time, it helped remind them that there are good people out there and they are working for them .

Now, they get dressed and look in the mirror and say, "I am the law!"

And we see the results of it today.
