I wouldn't say the whole of the UN are useless, they have done a lot of good things, saved many peoples lives.

But the actions of these aid workers is sickening, to abuse a position of trust in such a disgusting way targetting such vulnerable children is unforgivable.

The UN do intervene in civil wars and other global conflicts for the good of innocent people caught up between the warring sides.

They should be doing more intervening not less in places like Sudan and Burma for example, places that individual countries are not prepared to do anything about.

The UN protected "safe areas" during the civil war in Yugoslavia saved thousand of people from "ethnic cleansing".
