Though something crashed at Roswell, we may never know the truth. Now there is so much to the story without supporting evidence, it's hard to find actual facts. If it was an advanced experiment or craft, than the Military has a right to cover it up. Look what happened with Nuclear missiles, now everyone has them.
UFOlogists can't even agree on exactly what happened, except there was a crash of some sort. There evidence comes 20 - 30 years after the fact, and relies on eyewitness testimony only.
The only time eyewitness testimony has ever been acceptable is when it proves the persons case. Go to any courtroom and watch the proceedings. If your testimony is different than what they want to hear, it's invalid.
If Roswell testimony is to be believed, than there are tons of wreckage out there in private hands. Were is it?
The accepted timeline and reports just do not add up to any viable conclusion.
The military doesn't have to cover it up, our imaginations are doing a way better job.
