Hey everyone libertyhead gave me the idea last night that sharing ghostly experiences might be fun, I'll start the ball rolling with mine. From time to time particularly in the summer months be in the dining-room on my computer and the kids and Aunt Carol still asleep and my wife on her pc in the bedroom and I'll hear the kitchen air conditioner turn on, this is a turn knob air conditionr clicked 3 times to the right so I doubt it could be a short,in addition to this we have taken family pictures in the living room of the whole family in front of a mirror hanging on the wall behind us that when developed had images of hands and faces in the mirror, our hall door shuts itself a few times everyday and things fall off shelves these thing are not near the edge. we have been here 11 years now and see no cause for alarm.

Here is my story. My mom died in 1980. In 1984 I moved to a new city, sharing a house with two friends. Anyway, one evening I was home alone, and had fallen asleep on the couch. I woke up and just after waking, I saw a shadow moving across the living room, from the front door toward the dining room. My first thought was that it was my mom, coming to check out the place. Hope she liked it.

I think we had a female ghost in a house we lived in down in Eugene Oregon. You could hear someone walking around the house at night. Whenever I got up to checks, there was no one, and the kids were all sleeping! One night we had friends over to play bridge. During this, we all heard someone walking around upstairs, all through the house. I went up stairs, and again the boys were all asleep! Finally, one night my youngest came running into the bedroom, jumped on the bed, and sat between his dad and I. He just sat there in the dark. When I asked him what he was doing, and tried to get him to get under the covers, he said, " I'm yooking at the yady in the closet!" I flew under the covers so fast I almost knocked him right out of the bed!! Then I reached up and grabbed him, and pulled him under the covers with me!  It scared the daylights out of me!! That fact that he said Lady, and In the Closet, all made me think he really was looking at this!!

It kinda scares me that invisible hands may be touching me.

I think the only reason it don't bother us is we figure its had 11 years to harm us if nothing has happened yet ain't likely its going to.

Ghost Stories! How fun! grab some hot chocolate and pull up a stump around the campfire.  when my husband and i were first dating, we were watching TV at his house, and i kept feeling like someone was playing with my hair, and getting chills down my spine. I told him and so he was kinda running interference by putting his arm around me...this apparently ticked the ghost off...for shortly afterwards we heard a loud crash in the kitchen behind us. Upon investigating, we noticed large hand prints in the garbage bag that was sitting on the floor and which was leaking all over the place now.  rather freaky!!! Also, frequently while at his house I would hear what sounded like a rocking chair in the attic...but upon investigating...discovered there was no access to that part of the attic.  Never did find out what was up there.

My paternal grandfather died in 1982 after several strokes (he also had post traumatic stress disorder after WW2) he died in Hospital in Glasgow early in the afternoon. I came home from school at about 4 PM and hadn't been told he had died yet, when I walked into the living room he was sitting there watching the horse racing. I said to him "Grandad ?, what are you doing here ?" I went into the kitchen to ask my mother how my grandad had come down from Scotland and she said "I've got something to tell you, he died just after midday in hospital". I went back into the living room and there was no one there. I can guarantee that it wasn't my imagination, he was definately sitting there as plain as day, he wasn't an apparition or a spectral form he looked like he always did and I could even smell the cough drops he used to always suck on.
