Ever wonder how diverse life really is? we know that life here on earth is extremely diverse, perhaps far more diverse than we know, many believe the earth to be alive, is it possible water is alive? fire? wind? I know most never think of the unseen by the naked eye bacteria but bacteria is alive none the less, could there be other life invisable to the naked eye as well?

It's really irrefutable that many forms of life are invisible to the naked eye.  Besides bacteria, you've got spores, and possibly even viruses (although defining a virus as "alive" is somewhat controversial).  Water and fire don't fit the scientific definition of life, though.  Water is simply a chemical compound.  It doesn't metabolize anything, reproduce, or expel any waste.  The argument for fire is a little bit more complicated.  It doesn't really reproduce, though.  It just grows as an energy source.

Understood.

I've seen documentaries where crystals are actually considered as a form of life.  (The Andromeda Strain actually had this idea, too.)

There's no reason I can think of that life has to be carbon-based.  I'm sure you can base life on other compounds.  How that life would develop is anyone's guess.

For me being a spiritualist another point comes to mind are we really carbon based life? or is that a manmade understanding based on the material world around us. might we as well be etheric life. I know Jesus said in the bible they shall be as the angels niether marrying nor giving in marraige, indicating abstenence from sex thus no procreation. So perhaps reproduction being necessacary for life is fallacy in human thinking after all who set the standard.Perhaps we have much to learn yet een accademia

Yes, we live in a world that's maybe 10% visible and the other 90% is the living un-seen spiritual realm. There is a battle going on and has been going on for centuries now that is un-seen to the human eye.
