We were requested to and did investigate a private residence in Avoca, Tx. A small town in West Central Texas. The house, as I recall, had been a 1 room school house before it was remodled and became a family home. I dont know when it was renovated and the owners didnt know the story that would answer the questions WHY, but in our opinion, it was definitely haunted. While we were there, I was pushed, several of us smelled perfume or some kind of "flowery" scent. Tracey and Lisa were also there, the mother/daughter psychic team. We dont know their names, but from their work and some automatic writing, we think it's a 20-something year old Spanish girl and an older, white gentleman who is very mean. At one point, everyone had gone to the backyard, but I decided to stay inside. I was in the kitchen area so I was at least close to them (I never said I was THAT brave) and I heard what sounded like a growl. I started recording from the direction which the growl came from and Sarah and the rest of the group came back in. In the video below, I was pointing to where I heard the growl, talking about it, and you'll see an orb fly away from lower center toward the right side of the picture quickly (I hope).  A little later, I was in the kids bedroom and the owners cat came walking through and it looked like he was watching or following someone. So, I decided to follow him and we ended up in the kitchen. Now, remember, other than some ambient light coming in from outside, it was totally dark in there. The cat sat in front of the oven and watched and waited...so did I. Finally, some little white light appeared between the oven and the cabinet next to it, and the cat watched it. IT WAS DARK, there was NO LIGHT on in the house. However, the cat's head moved as if he was watching the light! You may have to watch the video a few times to see it, but it's just slightly above the cats head.

Hambone what would you say that light is? It is very weird and the cat obviously sees it too.

honestly i dont know. I've never seen one like that before. I dont think it's the reflection from the cameras infrared light, it wasnt moving in such a way that it owuld cause a reflection like that. it almost looks like it pops out of the oven and then goes back in. I really dont know. I've heard reflection and bug. But, I dont think it's either. I followed the cat there and he sat and waited and watched it IN THE DARK.

I followed the cat clear across the house to that spot. He was on a mission to get there for sure, and when he did, he just sat down and stared at that spot until that little light appeared and went away. it was very strange. The people have since moved out....things apparently got pretty bad but I dont know many details.

Please remember cats have the ability to see well down into the IR spectrum. I've watched mine chase an unknown bit of nothing that turned out to be a gnat. She could see that across the room. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to view the videos at work, but that's the first impulse my inner skeptic has.

I've seen animals act strangely, meaning suddenly leave a room or look like they're watching something when there's nothing there, visible to people. but I've never seen a cat "follow" something before like that night. CD...the bug thing never came up before, but I honestly dont think thats what it was. When you can look at the video, I'll be interested to see what you think.

Hi Hambone! I finally joined the board!I hate to resurrect an old thread, but I can't remember if you've heard the EVP that I got in Avoca. It was when we were all in the boys' bedroom.
