But, it didnt in my opinion. Reason being, even in pix without that belt or other reflective surfaces, orbs appear which are just about identical.

I was curious as to the double yellow dots as they didn't correlate to what I've been told is an orb.

I'm also curious about the level of activity you encountered.  You indicated once that typically the more people on a "hunt" the less activity you encountered.  I thought you mentioned this was a large group.

I'm wondering what your thoughts are on this?

I'm also curious about the level of activity you encountered. Level of activity was high, especially while it was initially the 3 of us. It did drop a bit after the 4th arrived, but not too much. As I mentioned, I did hear the childs voice and something that sounded like walking on the second floor while we were on the first and other inexplicable noises (meaning we couldnt find a source for them). Things I didnt hear that the other three did were things like whispering, shushing eachother (like 1 telling another to be quiet), walking sounds and i was frequently asked "did you hear that?" meaning people talking.
You indicated once that typically the more people on a "hunt" the less activity you encountered.  I thought you mentioned this was a large group. Yes, the more people on an investigation at the Inn the lower the activity seems to be. This particular trip started with only 3 of us. Myself, Tracy and Lisa. After we had been there about 45 minutes, 1 other person arrived giving a grand total of 4 people the remainder of the evening.

As far as orbs go, I really don't know. The skeptical scientist in me tends to lean towards requiring more proof.

I only know that the answers won't be expressly forthcoming until I'm dead, and I'm not in a real hurry to get there.

In the meantime, I'll try to keep an open mind and evaluate the evidence at is presented.

Please tell us as a scientist based on your training and expertise what you personally believe orbs to be, or ghosts, or wahtever paranormal events that you believe in that you would like to discuss. You keep bringing up that you're a scientist and I keep hoping you'll incorporate that in to a response, but you dont. :(
So i'll ask you to. Please? :)

I'm an engineer by training. We tend to deal in cause and effect issues and straight on results.

Empirical data, as in reproduceable if x then y results are the basis for a lot of my training.

I just don't see a lot of repeatable results in most paranormal study.

That doesn't mean I don't believe based upon personal experience, I'm just not sure you will ever be able to prove anything to anyone who doesn't want to believe.

Like I said, I'm not sure what to make of orbs in photos. I can produce similar results using water droplets and dust. Yes, I said similar, so there is a certain amount uncertainty.

I will also suggest that maybe we arent' supposed to know about certain things in this realm. I know in my personal experiences this would make sense because God has a very unique sense of humor.

i dont think i'll be able to prove anything to any one either CD. We dont have the technology to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that ghosts exist, and we may never have it. Maybe someday, who knows. They thought the earth was flat, but they proved that theory wrong.

if an "orb" in a picture is questionably caused, ie water, dust, lens flash, then I wont even entertain the idea that it might be an orb. what I present here are pix based on my experience and belief to probably be orbs or spirits. doesnt mean they ARE. Some will believe, and like you said, some wont. ever. which is fine. the world would be a boring place if we all agreed with eachother.

thanks for explaining your background and clearning it up. i wasnt sure what field of science you were in. I guess engineering isnt too closely related to the paranormal, is it. hahaha

Do the pyschics on your team pick up things near to where you see the orbs after on the photos?

yes and no. sometimes they do, sometimes they dont. Meaning, if they feel something, we'll often take pix in hopes that an orb will show up. sometimes they do and some times they dont. and sometiesm we'll take a pic, see an orb and before we can say anything, they'll say they feel something.

so, like all other things paranormal, there's no guarantee of anything being "normal" in sequence of events.

right. it takes energy to "be", and they may not be stong enough to even show up as an orb, in my opinion. so, nothing in a pic doesnt necessarily mean "nothing" is there...or there's nothing not there....you know waht i mean...hahaha

empaths..psychics...i'm sur they can even if they cant be photographed or are not strong enough to make an EVP...but again, i think the lack of energy on the part of the spirit would have to be proportional to the ability of the psychic to pick up on their presence.

Yes I agree... various amounts of energy to manifest right? Therefore various amounts of energy needed to be "seen" by a pyschic?
