I have been dreaming about the departed recently. Sometimes the dreams are good, sometimes not so good. The last one was very good.

I really don't know, Hambone. There are times when it is so clear that my reams simply reflect the things that are on my mind at the time. Other times the seem to be about things I could not know. The other night I dreamt about those who reached the other shore. I went to visit them and they were living in a wonderful little house and everything was so warm and homey. Does this mean they have gone to a good place? Does it mean that I hope they are in a good place. I am not sure which it is.

Hamster, I was dreaming about my parents. My dad passed aways in 2005, my mother in 2006.

I am taken by the phrase, "an avenue for contact." I don't who or what I am contacting in my dreams but the phrase seems to fit.

Lots of paranormal reserachers receive emails/phone calls about dreams in conjunction with other events happening around them (there doesnt always have to be more then dreams but it is common). they are usually about the passing of immediate family members such as parents/grandparents and perhaps brothers/sisters and they're asking if that can be the spirit of the departed. during sleep, our minds are at the most relaxed state they can be in (barring meditating when you're awake). This affords the spirits a way to pass information to you either verbally or visuallly or both. I personally believe it is possible that your parents could be sending you visualizations to let you know they're ok in a way that you can understand. Last edited on 07:17 am by |

There are elements of the dream that I can ientify as things I have been thinking about recently but other parts were wholly unexpected. One thing I know for sure, the dream was overwhelmingly positive. And, thank you for your condolences.

It details how everyone can access a "higher" spirit to guide them to help others progress and ultimately raise human consciously by some amount. Other guides may be lower level and help you sort personal life issues out. I have had one of these guides for up to a year I think. Now I have made contact with a higher guide and this is how I get my psychic abilities as you might have read in this thread: http://www.24hourforums.com/view_topic.php?id=7122&forum_id=110&page=1 As I tyoe that I can't believe how ridiculous it sounds but it's happening.

Have faith it is them passing on to you that they're in a better place and you'll feel it and know peace. Perhaps they were using your recent thoughts mixed in with their message to make you understand they're with you. I'm by no means an expert or final authority on this...but I really believe it's possible.

I remember my dreams every night. Some nights, I can only recall one, but often I remember several. A handful of my dreams have come true. At least two or three times a month, I fly in my dreams and visit people in far away places. I believe it is possible for the spirit to travel during sleep. My flights and visitations are generally to people in Scotland. I had a dream about one of my best friends in the UK before I became acquainted with him through the Internet. Additionally, my dreams often reveal important information for me to consider upon waking. Some of my best poetry and short stories - even music - came to me in dream. In the dream state, I believe we are more suseptible to inspiration. Inspiration, I believe, is of the human heart and can be receptive to God or to the evil promptings of the human soul. The only way to distinguish between them is to compare my inspiration against the standard of my Faith and determine if it is of God or simply "satanic fancy". It's sort of complicated, ha-ha. Of course, some dreams are simply the product of too much pepperoni!!!
