Hi Amy.  I picked 9 and 10 because I have only heard about it in this forum.  I would have picked,  "Seems to be a group of nice people who are very dedicated to their faith" also, but that choice wasn't there.  I enjoy you and Sirlamre!  I just don't trust a faith that is founded in the the Muslim religion............

thanks for participating!

well, i see we have our work cut out for us.  :bigwink:  That's one reason I started this, to see how many misconceptions about our Faith that we need to overcome.

When I first became a Baha'i, my sister was convinced it was a cult as well.  She was scared for my soul.  But she has realized that what she had previously thought was not even close to the truth.

as for global domination...i know i joke about that ::spy::...but just because that's what Rob thinks we're about.  I'm just having a bit of fun with it. :giantgrin:  We don't really intend on taking over the world, but rather changing hearts one at a time.  So, global domination at that rate is eons away, and not affiliated with the elites as Rob's so fond of calling them. 

As for being based in the Muslim religion...that's not quite accurate.  It has it's roots in Islam, just like Christianity has it's roots in Judaism.  Jesus was born a Jew, but came to clarify where they had gotten things confused and started a new Faith.  Baha'u'llah was born a Muslim, but came to clarify where they had gotten things confused and started a new Faith. 

But ultimately, we believe all of the different major religions are just different chapters in the One Faith of God.

Saying the Baha'i faith was "founded in the Muslim religion" is like saying Christianity was "founded in Judaism".

:giantgrin: Yum, I love blueberry bagels and cream cheese. 

This morning I had oatmeal, yogurt, a pear, juice, water, and of course ::coffee:: my coffee.   (Other than actually forcing myself to eat breakfast, that's the hardest part for me, I miss my all day coffee fix)  ::chuckle::

For just a few more days...::wheww::
