XCIII. Know thou that every created thing is a sign of the revelation of God.
Each, according to its capacity, is, and will ever remain, a token of the Almighty.
Inasmuch as He, the sovereign Lord of all,
hath willed to reveal His sovereignty in the kingdom of names and attributes,
each and every created thing hath,
through the act of the Divine Will, been made a sign of His glory.
So pervasive and general is this revelation that nothing whatsoever in the whole universe
can be discovered that doth not reflect His splendor...
God grant that, with a penetrating vision, thou mayest perceive, in all things,
the sign of the revelation of Him Who is the Ancient King,
and recognize how exalted and sanctified from the whole creation
is that most holy and sacred Being.

The real brotherhood is spiritual, for physical brotherhood is subject to separation.
The wars of the outer world of existence separate humankind,
but in the eternal world of spiritual brotherhood separation is unknown.
Material or physical association is based upon earthly interests,
but divine fellowship owes its existence to the breaths of the Holy Spirit.
Spiritual brotherhood may be likened to the light,
while the souls of humankind are as lanterns.
The incandescent lamps here are many, yet the light is one.

We should earnestly seek and thoroughly investigate realities,
recognizing that the purpose of the religion of God
is the education of humanity and the unity and fellowship of mankind.

Make ye an effort in every meeting
that the Lord's Supper may become realized and the heavenly food descend.
This heavenly food is knowledge, understanding, faith, assurance, love, affinity, kindness, purity of purpose, attraction of hearts and the union of souls.
It was this manner of the Lord's Supper
which descended from the heavenly kingdom in the day of Christ.

Do not despair! Work steadily. Sincerity and love will conquer hate.
How many seemingly impossible events are coming to pass in these days!
Set your faces steadily towards the Light of the World.
Show love to all; 'Love is the breath of the Holy Spirit in the heart of Man'.
Take courage! God never forsakes His children who strive and work and pray!
Let your hearts be filled with the strenuous desire
that tranquillity and harmony may encircle all this warring world.
So will success crown your efforts,
and with the universal brotherhood will come the Kingdom of God in peace and goodwill.

Every created thing in the whole universe is but a door leading into His knowledge,
a sign of His sovereignty, a revelation of His names, a symbol of His majesty,
a token of His power, a means of admittance into His straight Path....

The foundations of all the divine religions are peace and agreement,
but misunderstandings and ignorance have developed.
If these are caused to disappear,
you will see that all the religious agencies
will work for peace and promulgate the oneness of humankind.
For the foundation of all is reality, and reality is not multiple or divisible.
Moses founded it, Jesus raised its tent,
and its brilliant light has shone forth in all the religions.

1. O SON OF SPIRIT!
My first counsel is this: Possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart,
that thine may be a sovereignty ancient, imperishable and everlasting.

Unlock, O people,
the gates of the hearts of men with the keys of the remembrance of Him
Who is the Remembrance of God and the Source of wisdom amongst you.
He hath chosen out of the whole world the hearts of His servants,
and made them each a seat for the revelation of His glory.
Wherefore, sanctify them from every defilement,
that the things for which they were created may be engraven upon them.
This indeed is a token of God's bountiful favor.

The sea of materialism is at flood tide and all the nations of the world are immersed in it.
It is my hope that the fish will rise to the surface,
so that they may behold other wondrous aspects of creation;
for the people are like unto the fish swimming in the deep
- ignorant of the rest of the universe.
May they be transformed into birds of the air and soar in the nether atmosphere!
May they break all bonds of limitation,
so that they can observe from the height the lordly processions of infinite creatures;
they will see the blue heavens studded with luminous stars,
rivers flowing with salubrious water, gardens bedecked with fragrant flowers,
trees adorned with blossoms and fruits, birds singing songs of light,
humanity ever striving forward, every atom of existence breathing life and force
- the universe of God a wonderful theatre
upon the stage of which every created thing plays its part.

The most acceptable prayer
is the one offered with the utmost spirituality and radiance;
its prolongation hath not been and is not beloved by God.
The more detached and the purer the prayer,
the more acceptable is it in the presence of God.

O my dear friend!

Verily, my heart is united with thee even though my body is in a distant land,
for verily neither long distance nor immense remoteness
can prevent the union between hearts,
because the clear hearts are in reality assembled in union in the Kingdom of God,
while bodies are dispersed in the east and west of the earth.
This dispersion cannot stop the affinity
and cannot veil the eye of soul from seeing in all directions.

...Likewise the divine religions of the holy Manifestations of God are in reality one
though in name and nomenclature they differ.
Man must be a lover of the light no matter from what day-spring it may appear.
He must be a lover of the rose no matter in what soil it may be growing.
He must be a seeker of the truth no matter from what source it come.
Attachment to the lantern is not loving the light.
Attachment to the earth is not befitting
but enjoyment of the rose which develops from the soil is worthy.
Devotion to the tree is profitless but partaking of the fruit is beneficial.
Luscious fruits no matter upon what tree they grow
or where they may be found must be enjoyed.
The word of truth no matter which tongue utters it must be sanctioned.
Absolute verities no matter in what book they be recorded must be accepted.

Man -- the true man -- is soul, not body;
though physically man belongs to the animal kingdom,
yet his soul lifts him above the rest of creation.
Behold how the light of the sun illuminates the world of matter:
even so doth the Divine Light shed its rays in the kingdom of the soul.
The soul it is which makes the human creature a celestial entity!

By the power of the Holy Spirit, working through his soul,
man is able to perceive the Divine reality of things.
All great works of art and science are witnesses to this power of the Spirit.
