 I am going to post reports from many of our forum members who have been kind enough to post reports about their holidays in Spain.

But to start with, I am posting a snippet of one that I think you might have a laugh about of my own - a camping Trip in the Mountains, (about 40 mins from where we live in Spain), that didn't quite go to plan, even on the 2nd attempt!  This goes on for a couple of posts (as was in several attempts), so I am linking you to the rest.

"We have been home over a fortnight now, but I have only just managed to sort my photographs out so I could post this on the board.

Trouble is, I was so relaxed when we got home I just haven't got my act together yet.

We had a lovely visit, the highlight being a day trip into the mountains; such spectacular scenery.  Even my other half enjoyed it (after he had finished panicking about the height of the roads). 

The local bureaucracy may drive you all round the bend, but what a lovely area you live in".

 MAMMAFRUITAS' Recent Holiday.

Well, as you know lots of my time taken up with Grannyfruitas since coming back from our hols. Also was waiting for Casa to show me how to post pics. That has been sorted now so I will have a go!

What a wonderful time we had - so relaxing and the weather fabulous! We are so content to wind down and enjoy the view, potter in the garden, watch the comings and goings of the workers in the "polytunnels", watch the goats clambering up the hillside or meandering along the rambla, doing jobs around the house, we sometimes forget that we haven't been anywhere for days!

We enjoyed our few days with Casa when he came out in his days off, and had such a wonderful day on the Sunday with the gang from the forum. Thanks again to Pwwm for inviting us all back to their place - it was great!

On leaving for home, poor Casa was really miffed as he knew the plums on his tree were just about to be ready for eating - but not quite! In the following days there was an abundance of plums!

 One day we decided to visit Castell de Ferro and I took lots of pics here. What a coincidence but Pwwm posted some pics from there only yesterday. On our way back from there, we called in at La Mamola. What a delightful little place that is. It is like a mini version of Castell de Ferro, with a beautiful paved promenade and so clean and quiet. We called at a beach bar (as near to the sea I have ever seen!) for a drink and the tapas appeared as a plate full of sardines on a bed of cus cus. Absolutely delicious! We were very thirsty as it was so hot so ordered another drink. This time we were served with a big plate of whitebait in the most delicious fritter type batter. We then realised if you had another drink, you got a plate of chips! but by this time we had had our fill. The bill came to 5 Euros 20!! How's that for value for money.

 We also visited La Rabita during the daytime, but in the evening there is nothing nicer than to sit on the balcony, G & T ( or similar) in hand, watching the sun go down, listening to the sound of the crickets and watching the antics of the bats zooming around. What clever creatures they are.

On our last evening, there was the most magnificent sunset which left the sky a deep shade of red over Albunol. I didn't perhaps catch it at it's best but here's what I got.
