.Economic situation in Spain has  made it impossible for us to stay.
Spain is a country that cares more for it's Nationals than for foreigners (which is how it should be!)  and trade for us as foreigners is now next to zilch, as everyone here is fighting for every penny, and of course folk give it to their country folk in a crisis, regardless of price etc.
Besides which, our sons have lives now, which need taking into consideration.
Our eldest son, who has been working in a Spanish hair salon for more than a year now, needs some qualifications, and wil be taking on an apprenticeship with day release to college 1 day per week to gain his papers, then has plans to emigrate to Australia.
Youngest son needs to catch up with his English language, and will be studying English and Spanish and Cambridge Advanced level, then off to whatever he wants to do.  (Managed to get his Padi Scuba diving qualifications whilst he was here in Spain, so will be back to Spain during holidays to work at diving here in his free time).
We have recently tripped to UK and found more work there than we can cope with, which is heartening.
We see the whole 5 years we have spent in Spain, not as a failure, but as a positive building experience for us and our offspring, who, without this Spain experience would probably have never strayed from the UK. Now they are open minded and willing to travel to work, which for all it has cost us, makes it worthwhile as parents, knowing our kids now have the world as their oyster and are bilingual.

In less than 2 short weeks we will be back in the UK.  (Took some sorting,)  but we are all looking forward to the next chapter in our lives.
Will keep you updated.

It was around 3 years ago we first started talking and I still sit up straight in excitement when I see a post of yours, buddy buddette! It's always great to see my very first online crush!  Not to mention one of my very earliest big supporters around here when we both first started with our forum sites.  I got your PM - thanks. I am sure you will look back on the Spain endeavor with happy eyes, I know you learned A LOT about business with all the different project and marketing you did. Thanks for the update, Nikki.

Pussycat, I'm sort of sad to hear the news, but on the other hand, I'm happy for you that you're going to continue onwards and upwards in your life's journey! Much luck to you and Godspeed!!!

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. -Matthew 22:37-39
