Sometimes I just have to scratch my head turn right and cough. linky To say that Santa should say ha ha ha instead of ho ho ho makes me realize that some people have waaaaaaaay to much time on their hands.

I do not blame this on Aussies! Oh No! I am just surprised Californika has'nt done it first! It is summer there (or is it the end of spring) it seems odd! I wish I had a jet to fly there and protest this upside-down outrage.  And look at the stars and maybe the southern cross? Is that possible?  Maybe if I envision myself as a huge bat hanging upside down, in a cave called the solar system from a stalagmite called earth..........I hear an ambulance..........it's getting louder. ...............hmmmmmm...........now I hear footsteps.

Come on LibertyHead, you gotta be kidding. Aussie don't use the word "ho" in the sense American eubonics does - and I'd be surprised if anyone much even knew what it meant here. This "news article" is just an American joke. The whole "interview" is written in American. Aussies don't talk like this. And Santa, Down Under, has ripped off his red sweatsuit and white fur, and put on thongs and swimmers and is swigging beer. He probably doesnt even say Ho ho ho here, but something more like It's bloody hot, mate, have a cold one!! Or to the kids - whachawann fer Chrissie, luv?

Hi Pam, I had hoped you were right, sounded about right to me  ...but found this from an Australian source. The reason sited though is not because it's derogatory to women, but rather that the bellowing scares the children.  http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22738300-2,00.html

Anyway, I'd personally be quite glad to see the back of Santa, altogether - and his ho ho ho or ha ha ha. Whether you're celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ or having a Saturnalia fling or enjoying Yule, the fat bloke in red is an interloper. From a folk accretion fiction bogey to blackmail children into being good, he's now just become a commercial prop - to stimulate demand to buy buy buy. With the spate of Santa Movies which Hollywood bestows upon us all every year, even the legend of a basically good Santa has been reinvented and undermined. Go with your instinct kids. Boycott Santa.
