Thankyou America for again allowing me into your neat land - particularly to the mountains of Colorado where the snow is deep and fluffly and one is skiing one's stylish Aussie butt off. Grin.... Last night there was also a Snow Moon, and I watched this total eclipse from the local hot springs, where, after dark - I include this for Frankie's benefit - one gets totally nekkid. We howled at the moon ... and got very primeval. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and yodelayiiiiiiiiioooooooo Catch you all again soon!!!

hey Pam!!!! good to see you! but i'm jealous! my son was skiing colorado over the past weekend, what area were you skiing? i can't remember where he was!  you know what new englanders say...you may be able to ski powder up to your butt in Colorado, but i can ski ice up to my edges!

Thanks Frankie!!! There's a great bunch of people here from all over - including LonG Island! In fact as I typed this, a Noo Yoiker just made a Seinfeld type joke about me being on the computer instead of the slopes (the lifts aren't open yet stoopid!) and winked at me wickedly... LC - I'm at Steamboat Springs - which I like a lot. I've also skied the Breck, and Vail, Keystone, etc. All neat. The snow is good. Not champagne powder this time, but good .. some light drifts in the trees, a bit crusty in places, but they groom well here. As fer ice, east coasters ain't got nothing on what Oz sometimes throws at us. Aussies start skiing on ice and fall a$$ over elbow the first time they encounter real powder!!! Take care all... I gotta get coffeed up - and out and at it...... again Yeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and yodelayiiiiiiiiooooo

Yep, Amy, but not without fingerprinting me and photographing me first. Grin. A blonde female from a friendly country who gets her gear off and yahooos at the full moon when it's eclipsed is definitely very suss!!! And proud of it too. I've met a few other Aussies on the slopes here - it being summer Down Under and ya can't ski in Oz right now. And.... gasp.. groan... horror, there are even some Aussies working the lifts here, and PINNING AUSTRALIAN FLAGS outside the lift offices. Everyone seems to take this in thoroughly good humour er humor, and I don't think anyone feels it's any kind of disrespect for the very fine country we're um invading...
