Yes, I think so, Marie. I might however hang on to some of the yummy pilgrims!!!

Today they actually all hijack the Harbour Bridge. It's completely closed to the rest of us!!!!

The World Youth Day is a Convention for young catholics who gather somewhere every few years to do whatever young catholics do at a convention.  And meet the Pope. Sydney got chosen.  Here's the official site

There are an amazing lot of visitors  in Sydney. Carrying flags from every country imagineable.  Camped on every floor, in church halls, private homes, schools - including the local muslim school (which is rather neat, I think). The weather has been kind - wintry sunshine. I've met pilgrims at the zoo, on beaches, in buses , on trains, on ferries, in museums, just walking down every road ... all having a great time.   I love it.
