A Useful Tip

In promulgating your esoteric cogitations or articulating your superficial sentimentalities, and amicable philosophical or psychological observations, beware of platitudinous ponderosity.

Let your conversational communications possess a compacted conciseness, a clarified comprehensibility, a coalescent cogency, and a concatenated consistency.

Eschew obfuscation and all conglomeration of flatulent garrulity, jejune babblement, and asinine affectations.

Let your extemporaneous descantings and unpremeditated expatiations have intelligibility and voracious vivacity without rodomontade or thrasonical bombast.

Sedulously avoid all polysyllabic profundity, pompous prolificacy, and vain vapid verbosity.

In short: "Be brief and don't use big words."

Remember when you were young and would stand in a doorway, pushing the backside of your hands against the doorframe for as long and you could, and then when you stepped out of the doorway, your arms would float?

That was cool!

In the same vein as some of the other threads that have poked their heads out here, what do you say to the old, "Ask me anything" sorta thread?

Did you ever climb the walls in the hallway by pressing your hands against one wall and your feet against the opposite wall?

I loved doing that.  My mom was NOT pleased, of course.  There is nothing worse than sneaker tracks on the hallway wall, haha.

Good idea, but would that be too much like the interview threads that are already here?

Or not?

It's kinda cool, since it helps you get to know a person better.  It saw lots of action in 3 other forums I go to.

Ah, what the hell.  Everyone else has had a go at this, I might as well jump on the bandwagon!  Don't be surprised when one shows up that says "Ask Britt anything" and you didn't write it!!  That's another thing some liked to do.  Sneaky creeps.

We had kangaroos painted on the tail "stinger" fairing of the Hueys of the 3rd Flight Platoon, 45th Dustoff, because we supported the Aussie soldiers out of Nui Dat Vietnam. We would fly Dustoff standby with a hoist and Aussie medic. Some of the best and bravest I knew. People don't realize that Aussies lost 10,000 good men there trying to stop the spread of communism before the US people gave up on a war we were winning. I would sure like to email any Aussie veteran from Nui Dat from the fall of 1969 to the summer of 1970. My salute to them always. I was the big blond "yank" they had to force to drink Foster's (it took six of the blokes!).
