I just picked up one of those horse bouncy things with 4 springs, the thing is in great shape! My question is............Has anyone ever heard of a kid getting killed on one of these, I had one as a kid and the worst thing that ever happened was I got whacked in the head when someone else was on it........there seems to be much debate on this.

I had one when I was a kid, and I turned out OK.

my kids had them, the only bad thing is the springs can pinch little fingers. .....you're reminding me of one Christmas Eve....i was putting together one of those horsie things and a spring was missing. ....so i had to drive an hour and a half to freaking rhode island where i bought the thing...and it was snowing!! ho ho ho my butt.

I would think you could put something over the springs to protect the tiny fingers from the pinches. Couldn't you?

Depending upon how far down the spring actually compressed, there's split tubing at Lowes and places that would wrap right around the spring and allow it to move inside.
The trick would be that the tubing would need to collapse and get shorter along with the spring as well.
Cloth or light canvas "tube bags" would work as well, just have to be sewn to the top and bottom of the spring so they don't move and expose the spring.
Quick job for someone with a sewing machine
Turn thou unto God and say: O my Sovereign Lord! I am but a vassal of Thine, and Thou art, in truth, the King of kings. I have lifted my suppliant hands unto the heaven of Thy grace and Thy bounties.
