My kids go to a parochial school and were done before Memorial Day. My husband who teaches in public school is done this Friday. When does school end where you live?

What plans do you have for your children over the summer? (or if you're a teacher, what so you wish your students were doing over the summer?)

Our 13 year old is going to soccer and basketball camps, as well as playing rec soccer. Our 9 yr old is playing rec soccer and going to summer school enrichment classes in the morning for about 5 weeks.

Mine has this week and next week to go. I still haven't decided what he is going to do for the summer. I'll figure out something interesting for him; maybe I can find a robotics camp or something. He luuuuuuvs that kind of thing.

My grandson has been out for almost two weeks now. Our plans are to camp, fish, sleep late, fish, camp some more, hunt snakes, fish. Sometime in there, he has a summer reading list to do, and some projects for next year to work on. Then we plan to fish, and camp. We are also going to work on his math, and spelling, and if we have any spare time, we are going fishing.

Sounds fantastic! I love fishing - except for the baiting the hook and taking the fish off part.

My daughter's school gets out next Tuesday. For the rest of the week she'll be getting ready for our trip to BC. Up there we'll be fishing and otherwise enjoying the outdoors. After we get back she has swimming and piano lessons, and we'll make sure she has good books to read. I think I'll also go over the multiplication tables with her and use arithmetic flash cards.
