I do not support hiding illegal immigrants.

I agree.  It is important to abide by the laws of our land.  A more positive action would be to help people residing in other countries wade through the red tape of applying for immigration.  In some countries, the application process is an awful mess wrought with red tape, mismanagement and fraud.  I met people in Romania forced to pay Romanian officials bribes in excess of $20,000 just to apply!  That is an injustice.

My wife waited her turn and came here legally in 1969. She finally got her citizenship in 1999.  I do not support illegal immigration at all but something needs to change to make it easier for those who are staying within the law and trying to become citizens in the legal manner to do so.

There are already 10 times more coming in legally than should. It should match the number that leave the USA permanently. Even then, we are still losing resources like our soil and groundwater at 100 times their replenishment rate. Groundwater; mostly gone 2040. Soil; mostly gone 2070 (that is good farm and range soil). If the Immigration Quota Act of Congress of 1924 was not illegally abolished by Truman in 1948 our population would be heading for sustainable maximum from 200 million to 100 million before our groundwater and soil give out. Plus the pollution generated would be far less and our schools still at a 100IQ average. We would probably still have students reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag every morning with one nation "under God" still in it.
