The purpose of this thread is to answer honest, but perhaps skeptical or critical questions on a specific and narrow subject as defined by the title and first post of this thread.  It is hoped that this can be done while still adhering to the rules as established by 1Jester when he created this forum, those are in part:

3. Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

4. Romans 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:11  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Romans 10:12  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Romans 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

It is important to note the 2 aspects of the saving gospel (good news) in verse 10:9.

#1. The lips profess Jesus as Lord. (Outward)

#2. The heart believes that God has raised Him from the dead. (Inward)




Jesus said, "Take heed that no one deceives you."
