I'm as sure as anyone else can possibly be about my relationship or messages from God.  No human has authority over me in this regard.

God apparently wanted me to realize that organized worship or joining one particular organized religion may not be necessary.  God apparently wanted me to use the sense and reasoning given to me to not believe things just because other people wrote them down or said them.  God apparently wants me to have my own journey, which leads me to believe there really isn't just one way, or that the ways prescribed by others are not necessarily for all (or for me).  God has made me think I should not trust the works or organizations of man.

I trust that if God wants to communicate something more specific I would not have to go through guessing games or tests with various sources of text written by people.  So far, those are the messages my reasoning and sense have delivered.

If God decides to lead me into believing I should pick an organized religion I will be around.  :)  Like I said, I don't understand the "pick NOW" thing when it could take decades to learn enough to decide and feel expert enough to buy into one.  I do appreciate your good wish spirit, though.  :)

JBF was hoping that I see things his way - i.e. accept Christ and become a Christian.  If people do not happen to subscribe to a Fatih that acknowledges Christ, those questions you asked are generally irrelevant to their lives.

maybe, but that has not barring on reality.  what people believe does not change what is true.  if Christ is the way the truth and the life as the bible says, then if you or i do or don't believe does not effect the truth.  so if it's true that Christ is the only way and i care about you or others me wanting you to be saved is relevant to me regardless of what you think about it.
