As you read in Revelation and the letters to the 7 Churches there is a little militant and triumphant mix in the body of Christ and I happen to think that's Ok. Jesus tossed around a few tables in His Father's house and the early church decided to listen and please God instead of being people pleasers. :D

The church militant (i.e. the visible church on earth) is composed of all who belong to a local church (i.e. a congregation that preaches the gospel and rightly administers the sacraments). The church triumphant (i.e. the church in heaven) includes all who have believed in Christ for their salvation. Many who belonged to the church militant but relied on their own works righteousness will be excluded. On the other hand, many who were not members of any local church but who trusted entirely on the accomplished work of Jesus Christ in living a righteous life on their behalf and dying a sinner's death on their behalf will be included.

I see what you meant and agree.:)  Salvation is entirely based on belief of the Gospel, not self effort, rituals, traditions of men.
