I think most everyone prays at some time or another.  Some, knowing their prayer will be heard.  Some only reaching for that final last hope maybe for a loved one.  Even an Atheists will pray at one time or another.  Here's a thread to share any experience of an answered prayer, if you'd like.  I believe prayers are answered and it doesn't always have to be large numbers of people praying for the same outcome, although that helps.  I think a prayer needs to be honest, and from the heart.  I think in prayer, one must open their soul and really talk to God.

I completely agree with you, Foxey. And in answer to your question, I do pray, and frequently. By that I mean dozens of times a day. And if you define prayer also as thinking of God, like having a silent conversation with Him, I do that many more times each day. I think it's extremely important to nurture a relationship - a friendship - with the Lord. He is there and loves to hear from us.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. -Matthew 22:37-39

JBF says, "I agree, God knows the heart... so who can fool Him?" Yes, I thank and make requests to Him.

A prayer is really just a conversation with God.  You don't have to pain over saying just the right words and so on, just speak to God.  I do that several times per day.

Amen. To pray too God to ponder Him, to ask Him, to fellowship with and acknowledge the presence of Him in and around and upon you.

I pray often and enjoy having a heart to heart talk with my Creator and Father and I have noticed that when I pray for other people, instead of for myself, that my prayers are almost always answered and my own needs are always meet without me having to ask...God The Father, is no different than we human parents are,, He wants to hear from his children all the time, not just during their hard times, but their good times as well…

Very true.

I may miss a day from time to time, and it does me no good to do so,

Regards,

Scott
