I was too late to edit, so I'd like to add this note: I'd like to limit this thread to the Holy Bible, so please refrain from posting gems from other enlightening books such as the Gospel of Judas, Necronomicon, Dianetics, The Secret Doctrine, or any other Sacred Writings. Well, you DID say "the Holy Scriptures", so I won't quote from any Baha'i poetry... But the Word of God is the Word of God... "All glory be to this Day, the Day in which the fragrances of mercy have been wafted over all created things, a Day so blest that past ages and centuries can never hope to rival it, a Day in which the countenance of the Ancient of Days hath turned towards His holy seat. Thereupon the voices of all created things, and beyond them those of the Concourse on high, were heard calling aloud: "Haste thee, O Carmel, for lo, the light of the countenance of God, the Ruler of the Kingdom of Names and Fashioner of the heavens, hath been lifted upon thee."... ..."Call out to Zion, O Carmel, and announce the joyful tidings: He that was hidden from mortal eyes is come! THE time fore-ordained unto the peoples and kindreds of the earth is now come. The promises of God, as recorded in the holy Scriptures, have all been fulfilled. With faces beaming with joy, hasten ye unto Him. This is the changeless Faith of God, eternal in the past, eternal in the future. Let him that seeketh, attain it; and as to him that hath refused to seek it -- verily, God is Self-Sufficient, above any need of His creatures. Ah-- I was referring to his thread title, which was what I could see when replying. I didn't catch that he'd said Bible in the later post... or remember it when I was writing (being interrupted by a baby can cause short term memory loss...) My apologies... Sumnom and I will go start our own thread!
