I am one who sees the book of Revelation as some past, some present and some still to be future. We see a lot of hard times in this Revelation of Jesus Christ. Christians are told that we will suffer persecution just look at the letters to the Churches. Life today as a believer is not always pleasant,  but I think it will become more testing as time moves onward. Look at the Apostles lives for an example. Better yet, look to Christ of whom the bible says we are being conformed into His image! The good news is He said He will never leave us nor forsake us. The book of Revelation shows some very difficult times coming to the world. Hold fast saints, get ready, stay strong, keep the faith! It may get real bumby soon...::wiseman::

Romans 8:35-39

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:
      “ For Your sake we are killed all day long;
       We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus said, "Take heed that no one deceives you."

Matthew 24:4

Luke 6:22
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

Christians if the world doesn't hate you, you're not doing it right ;)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication of the saints;

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

For which I am an ambassador in bonds; that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

--Ephesians 6:10-20

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

--II Thessalonians 3:1-3

What shall we then say to these things?  If God be for us, who can be against us?

--Romans 8:31

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. -Matthew 22:37-39

You introduce a interesting point. ::thumbs:: If we are loved by the world the world loves it's own? We are not of the world but just visiting. Thanks Robodoon...

1 John 4:4-6

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

That is a very good point, there are many in this world who will hate anything or anybody associated with Jesus Christ, but I have to believe that there are also those few (very few) who will appreciate someone showing them the way to eternal happiness.
