You know how to open a can of worms don't ya?The on-going never ending Pre-Trib, Mid or Post-Trib saga.   Well, I will have to grab all my old notes first. The short of it is I hang in the "Pre-Wrath" camp and sometimes fall back into the "Pre-Trib" camp. I have NEVER joined the "Post-Trib" family because as I recall scripture clearly puts that one to sleep fairly quickly. I will pull out the files and get back on this one...  Hint: 2 Thessalonians Chapters 1 & 2 give great direction on this subject. The Bottom Line is: Matthew 25:13 Jesus said, “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."

Six years ago I started following Jesus christ, and this was the first time I ever heard of "Rapture". The church I attended taught pre-trib so this is what I believed to be true. I also have Sky Angel and many that I heard speak on there also believed in pre-trib. Well it has been a few years now and I have done my on studies on the subject by reading what the Bible has to say on the subject and I began to think mid-trib or maybe even post-trib. I know I am going to do some more in-depth studying into this topic, but for now I would have to say, I'm just not sure. I AM looking for the return of jesus, but will True Believers have to face what is about to come on the earth? I'm just not certain I can answer this. Maybe we should compare notes and see what God's true teaching is about this topic.

I don't even look towards either. I see a duty and do it. I see this "post" and "pre" stuff as a trick..... Those under God have Duty, if their bacon is to be saved or not. And let us not forget what God has allowed for his chosen people. ;) Don't be like the Germans, they were taught the same. CHRISTIANS YOU MAKE A BIG MISTAKE by waiting to do what is right when you should always do it. If you have duty do it, or get off the pot...and don't be upset with what comes because of your claims...for you have annouced it and you have done it. WHAT GOOD IS GOOD IF GOOD DOES NO GOOD! I grew up hearing pre-trib sermon series and studying the charts. After arriving at seminary, I put away my charts, read the Bible without them for a year, read Oscar Cullmann's Christ and Time: The Primitive Christian Conception of Time and History, and read the Bible some more. The outcome was that I became not only post-tribulational but also amillennial. I do not believe that it is possible for most people to derive dispensational premillennialism from the Bible without the aid of the charts. It's a defense of the inerrancy of scripture by imposing an external, historical periodization upon the Bible. Last edited on 06:19 am by construct |

This is called the 1st. Resurrection. It is the martyred saints during the tribulation and possibly those who died in Christ beforehand. Interesting passages to review & discuss. Revelation 20:1-6 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
