Dagg's book is called A Manual of Theology. It is published in the same volume with his A Manual of Church Order. Each part runs about 350 pages.

Boyce's book is called Abstract of Systematic Theology. It's shorter than Dagg's combined volume but much, much denser.

Mullins's book was The Christian Religion in Its Doctrinal Expression.

Conner's work is in two parts--Revelation and God and The Gospel of Redemption.

Moody's book is The Word of Truth.

The five books trace the shifts from 19th century fundamentalism to Baptist neo-orthodoxy. It's a highly instructive study.

I am also conversant with the theological shifts from Dagg to Boyce to Mullins to Conner to Moody, the trail of blood and the anti-Catholic polemics, etc.
I don't even know who most of those people are.

The five writers mentioned wrote the five major systematic theologies for Southern Baptists. Approximate dates are 1857, 1878, 1917, 1945, and 1980 respectively. All but Dagg were professors at Southern Baptist seminaries.

Sounds like Aethelred had BETTER agree with some of the creators of the theology he claims to believe in...

oh, wait... Baptists don't have to believe in ANYTHING that the rest of the Baptists believe in --- which is why they have so many different kinds of Baptists..

The theology I believe in is based on the Bible, nothing more or less.

Figure out how many Baptists there are and you'll know how many kinds of Baptists exist!:D
