I just wanted to recommend an incredible book by Dr. Howard G. Hendrick's.

It's called, "Living By The Book". It's a course on teaching the basic systematic method needed for a precision bible study. This helps Christians to not only observe God's Word better and with more detail... but I found it to be a vital help when I am answering the counterfeits. All we hear about today is the word, "Interpretation". The fact is that without proper Observation,...::wiseman::Interpretation will ultimately be in error.

 

The 3 steps of good Bible Study:

#1. Observation: "What Do I See?"

#2. Interpetation: "What Does It Mean?"

#3. Application: "How Does It Work?"

Howard Hendrick's is a Distinguished Professor at Dallas Theological Seminary, and chairman of the seminary's Center for Christian Leadership.

Please do. I think you will find the process very habit forming as you enter Observation by reading each verse and verses before and after and then seek context & content and then Interpretation and then find a life Application! It's vital for good study and breakdown! :)
