Follow the time sequence throughout the Book of Revelation. Jesus gave John the key very early in the book of Revelation for the saints to understand what He is "revealing". :)

#1. The Things Which John Has Seen. (Past)

#2. The Things Which Are. (Present)

#3. The Things Which Will Take Place After This. (Future)

Follow the church history in the letters. See the, "after these things" in Revelation 4:1 all the way to Revelation 19 at the "Marriage supper of the lamb".

No mention of the church after Chapter 3.

Chapters 4-5 we are in heaven celebrating!

Chapter 6 begins the Great Tribulation (Wrath of God)...

The "Rapture Of The Church" (the catching up of the church to meet the Lord in the air) as described in 1 Thes 4:16-18 and 1 Cor 15:50-58 is clearly there. The only question is...when will it happen?

Revelation 1:19

Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this.

Jesus said, "Take heed that no one deceives you."

Matthew 24:4

So all the Christian brothers & sisters agree with this take on Eschatology? Does anyone see the church in chapters 6-18 in Revelation?

Revelation 2-3 is interesting for its dual nature.  I think the primary intent was as a warning to churches not only of that time, but in the future.  I think you could find churches in any age that match all of those mentioned in Revelation.

However, if you look at the churches listed, I think you can also match them up with ages of church history.  To me, we appear to be living in the last of those ages.

Do we fellowship at the same church? ::chuckle::

There are only about 40-50 people, are you in disguise? ::chuckle::

You are on the same page with me on this.
