I used to have a 71 Maroon "E" with black Rag Top!

It was beautiful, very fast, corner like on rails, but also always broke down with very costly $$$$$$$ repairs!

There are so many extremely beautiful cars that have been produced, but let me suggest one:  Motor Trend's 1973 Car of the Year, the Chevrolet Monte Carlo.  I had one with a factory electric sunroof and other wonderful options, and it was definitely the best car I've ever owned.  Unfortunately, it was stolen in June 1994, and I'm still looking for it.

Here it is:

Here are some other photos, all courtesy of Yahoo.com's group of 1973-77 Chevy A Bodies.

Car of the Year:

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. -Matthew 22:37-39

This was the first car my husband bought me brand new.  This one is very similar.  I loved that car.  The hood opened from the back and tilted down.  It used to drive the gas station attendents crazy!

I loved to take that car on long trips.  I could set the cruise and just hang my arm out the window and enjoy the ride.  It was fast too!  I cried when we traded it in.

Oh...I almost forgot!  It was a 1986 Buick Park Avenue.  That car had a killer stereo system.  It would rattle the windows.  I blew a speaker the first month I owned the car and hubby threatened to divorce me.  They cost over $200 a speaker.  Lots of $ back then for a speaker.

Aww..thank you, Darlin!   I dearly loved that car.  You know how some them just seem to have personalities?  That one did.

I used to have 73 Maroon MC with white top, with every available option! I traided it in on November of 74 for early 75 Grand Prix. ::chuckle::

 I would love to have one of these beautiful cars.

1957 Chevy Corvette
The 1957 Corvette base engine was a 283 cubic inch, 220hp V8 engine with a single four barrel carburetor.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up worn out screaming what a ride..
