Well I must confess to owning a Corvair. It was the most dangerous car I ever drove constantly spinning out until I put a bag 2 bags of sand in the front compartment..

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up worn out screaming what a ride..

Ah yes the Corvair! I owned a "Fire Engine Red" & White Rag Top Spider! It was a cool looking little car, that when handled properly was OK to drive!

Ah yes the Lincoln Continental, I owned a 1960 Black on Black Rag Top, that had suicide rear opening doors. It was a "4" door Rag aTop!

I had a '64 Maroon Corvair with a black convertible top.  Worst car ever.  Caught on fire in east Los Angeles, I ran for a fire extinguisher.  Returned to find the car totally stripped and burned.  Good riddance.:rotfl:

The ugliest car I ever saw was the 1977 AMC Pacer wagon my friend's neighbors bought new. It was metallic purple and had chromed wire wheel covers. I've never fully recovered.

Some day I'd like to buy either a Pacer wagon (in metallic purple, of course) or a yellow Pontiac Aztek. I want to pimp one out so that onlookers will recoil in horror at how ugly it looks.

Wow-- I got the reaction I wanted and didn't have to spend a penny on either car!

How about a Purple Omni?

It comes with some great features too.

The gear shift alone is worth it!

This beauty is worth just about what's shown in that pix next to the hole in floor board!::sgrin::Actually, I owned one of the very first Plymouth Horizons when they first came out in 78. It was Blood Red, stick, and was the best thing ever in snow & Ice after I put "studded" snow tires on it. I went even where 4 WD's got stuck trying to go up some monster hills around my area! :)

My Cousin owned one of these beauties circa 1953, he was just 15 & just got his jr. driver's license, & I was just going on 11. We put "50" cents worth of gas in the car & spent the rest of the day riding around in it! Fun days!

Sounds like good memories! Those were the days!.......When each car company made a point to keep their designs very different from the designs of the other car companies. Those were the days when the front of cars looked like a face.

And..you could always count on Studebaker to come out with the most hideous designs every year. Below is the 1953 model. That has got to be the ugliest model ever!

I owned a Henry J in 1965. Had a Chevy 348 and turbo glide in it. BTW that stude is a 50 or 51 I believe. The 53 was a sharp looking little car that was very popular for building a Bonneville speed machine. Very streamlined.
