Need to see if anyone here can help with a question concerning any web sites that may help me decide on a new Vehicle.

I am having to make the painfull decision to give up my Avalanche truck:badday: due to high miles and need to downsize on payments and gas consumption and also the secondary need to temporially get a smaller Vehicle 'cause I will soon need to teach my Daughter how to drive:shock:.I want to try to solve as many issue's as I can at the same time and then I'll get a new Truck after she has her D.L.

I am considering a small SUV or a mid-size car.

Question is,...is there a website out there that will help me figure out what is on the market, what they look like, what will have the best resale and all the other relative info I have spoke of.

If any of you have anything that you are driving that you are or are not happy with,...please add your 2 cents... ::wiseman::

Bud,...gotta pay to join that site to get any specific info.Any other idea's?
I dont trust sites that have a automatic deduction from a Credit Card to renew each year.Found you cant get ahold of them after the fact...or a real hassle to get refunds for their "mistakes".
Also,...only interested in the info for this one purchase,..

By the way Shiro,..just noticed that you are a Car Salesman,
Would like to ask your advice....I have decided on a new or a few years old truck....like the Ford F-150 XLT's and the Silverado's that are decked out a bit.
I am in a bad position with the Avalanche 'cause I paid too much and miles are high and note is more that the truck apparently is worth at this point in time.I am becoming smarter this time.
But what Trucks hold their resale better than others?...and which ones seem to be more reliable?

I'm afraid I'm not very familiar with trucks any more. In the old days we were told to avoid Chrysler vehicles (including Dodge trucks) because they had bad trannies, but I don't think this is the case any more. Regular 2WD domestic pickup trucks depreciate so much in the first couple of years you'd save a bundle buying a 2 to 3 year old one in good shape. I had a customer recently who owed $23,000+ on a 2003 Ford F150 crew cab that had an ACV (Actual Cash Value) of $16,000. That's wholesale pricing, of course.
