Here's an index of all the DIGS O' THE DAY™ stories posted since Lord Marcovan's Treasure Territory (LMTT) was born in the spring of 2007.  (It took me until September of that year to actually get out and dig the first installment!)

Now that I have this as a home site, I may try to add some of my stories from 2006 and earlier, which were randomly scattered in various other corners of cyberspace.  Prior to 2005 or so, the writing is pretty sketchy and the stories are just random Internet forum postings that will require some tinkering and polishing to be presentable, as I wasn't pretending to be writing them for potential print publication, which may (eventually) be the fate of some of these (I can only hope).

But why would anybody buy a book of some goofy guy's stories when you could read them all here, for free?  (Assuming you wanted to read them at all.)

Good question, that.  Maybe I'll make my pre-Internet, pre-camera, pre-millennium stories of my past "glory days" an exclusive of the printed book, if and when the printed book ever exists.  Back in the 1990s, I used to go out treasure hunting 4 or 5 or five times a WEEK instead of 12 to 15 times a YEAR!  Needless to say, my finds back then were better and more numerous, as a result.  BUT, I never wrote about them, or took any pictures.  So the real work will be backtracking and telling the untold stories.  I might post a few highlights, like the "Ming Medallion" story and the story about "THE coin", which I've already posted here (the latter of which was already published in the Atlanta newpapers and over the wire services).

I'll also be adding a complete catalog (including pictures) of each and every coin in my dug "keeper" album, and that project is actually about halfway done as I type this.  Then it will be on to some of the relics and jewelry, for which I didn't practice such meticulous recordkeeping.  This backtracking to retell old, mostly unheard tales will take me a long time.  In the meantime, I'll just add the current adventures here as they happen.

Thanks for the attention, Dear Readers. :)

Your diligent diggin' diarist,

-Rob Shinnick (aka "Lord M").
