Hal Jordan was my absolute hero growing up, but when DC did their "Emerald Twilight" arc and made Jordan take out the entire GLC, i stopped reading.  I appreciate the story much more now that i'm older, but reading that when i was 11-12 yrs old... it was devastating.

I have always been a fan of Marvel.   when i was little, i was a Huge HULK fan.  and after teh GLC debaccle, i became a WOLVERINE accolyte.  He's the best there is at what he does.

i don't know how many of you read the "DC vs Marvel" cross-over, but that was awesome!

Marvel won, 8-4 i think.

Batman v Cap........ draw

Superman v Hulk......... Supes

Wonderwoman v Storm....... WW using Thor's hammer

Namor v Aquaman...... Namor, big time

Wolverine v Lobo (that one was hillarious!)....... Wolverine

Surfer v Green Lantern(Kyle something)....... Surfer

Superboy v Spiderman........ Spiderman

THOR v Shazam........ THOR

Ironman v STEEL....... Ironman

i'm drawing a blank on the rest.... sorry

 

and then the short lived AMALGAM comics that came out afterwards.  my fave was "Darkclaw"  combo of wolverine and batman...  Kick ass.

super-soldier, Supes and Cap... very cool.

It never should have got that far between superman and hulk, as superman is a superhero, hulk is just a super human.

Bruce Banner still breaths as a human as the hulk and needs oxygen, Kal-El as an alien from Krypton doesn't.

Taking Bruce banner (hulk) into orbit would probably have knocked him out as opposed to killing him due to the hulks superhuman biology, Superman isn't superhuman he is superalien.  

I always thought Superman would be stronger than the hulk anyway. Superman has moved our moon in the past, I don't think the hulk could manage that.

it was kinda a "precursor" to Supe's battle with Doomsday.

Superman didn't try to put Hulk down quick. he tried to stop him, make Hulk realize that Supes was a crap-load stronger, but it didn't work.  Hulk just kept coming.
