Well the ship was built in 1778, Victory was a first rater which ment she had 102 cannons ranging from 12 to 32 pounders lining three gun decks, plus she had two short range 68 pound carronades which could do major damgae up close

In all she could fire a half ton of iron in one broadside for half a mile with 400 pounds of powder, the ship displaced 3500 tons and measured 226 feet from the figurehead to sternpost with a beam of 51 feet

her rudder was an oak blade 6 feet wide at the base and 38 feet tall was controled from a double wheel on the quarter deck by ropes and pulleys connected to a 29 foot tiller on the lower gun deck

her tallest mast was 205 ft , she had a crew of 805 men and officers and was Adm nelson's flagship, a very powerful ship in her day and could hold her own in a fight

Yes he died on his ship shot in the chest by a musket ball, he lived long enough to see the English fleet win

The Victory handed out major damage to the French and Spanish ships that engaged her, the victory had some damage done to her but nothing like what the other ships had

The Victory was a powerful and beautiful ship and was older then most ships at the battle she was over 30 yrs old and still was a first class fighting ship
