1932-2007

Earl was the Prohibition Party candidate for President in 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2004. He was also their candidate for VP in 1976 and 1980. He got 8,002 votes in 1988, his best showing of all his runs for the White House.
Earl was also a political button dealer, which is how I got to know him. He helped me locate some of my better William McKinley and William Jennings Bryan buttons.
I did not agree with some of what he stood for, but Earl was a sincere guy who stood up for what he believed was right. He was also very pleasant to talk to, I wish I had had more opportunities to speak with him than I did.
