"LIZBETH" is an affectation she adopted after the trial. she bought a huge house up in the 'highlands" of Fall River, where the rich folks lived. she even gave the house a pretentious name, 'maplecroft'. but she was forever shunned by society. her sister lived there with her. then Lizzie moved a (gasp!) actress in and they had wild parties. so the sister moved to NH and she and Lizzie never spoke again.

Lizzie was caught shoplifting expensive items a couple times. heh.

i was a kid right out of high school, in nurse's training in Fall River. i liked to go to old graveyards and read the stones, a very interesting hobby in new england. the stones in Mass. contained so many historical figures. especially Plymouth.  but that's another thread! (my brother and i used to make rubbings of tombstones in England.)

so one day i saw the Borden graves, and i was hooked! end of nursing career, beginning of criminology career!  :D

No, there isn't. The photo always associated with the wife of Wyatt Earp's biography certainly is not her either. It was essentialhe era of publication. "Historical' photos often aren't.

Regards,
Scott
