Well this WW2 carrier which had 5 Japanese planes in WW2 smash into the flight deck and had a torpedo hit it and served in Korea has returned to it's pier in Manhattan after a major overhaul of both the Hull and the inside it has served for 24 yrs as a military and space museum at that pier which had to be redone so the carrier would fit better the intrepid figured in six major Pacific theater campaigns including Leyte Gulf, the war's greatest naval battle http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081002/ap_on_re_us/intrepid_returns Last edited on 01:35 am by Prince colin |
