A husband put his wife up for sale on internet auction site eBay for 1p.

Paul Osborn posted a photo of wife Sharon picking her nose. And he claimed: "Here is my lying, cheating, adulterous whore of a wife of 26 years."

But hundreds placed bids for the blonde mum-of-two.

And yesterday before Paul removed the posting the final bid had reached £750,000.

Paul from Bletchley, Bucks, said: "I wish I'd been able to sell her for that much, it would have helped with the mortgage."

Last night Sharon was unavailable for comment.

To me, this is the most intriguing part of the story.   It's remarkable to me that no one reported the auction, and that he ended up pulling it voluntarily.  I'm fairly certain auctioning off human beings as chattel is a violation of Ebay's Terms of Service.  ::scratch::
