While I agree with you about the degree of importance of this as compared to the other moral atrocities routinely committed and NOT blown out of proportion by the media, I don't condone what he did.

I don't have any guilt aknow and I sure don't consider I'm "smearing" the
guy.  He's really smeared himself.

I guess I'm just tired of all the denials for so long and "us" all having
to listen to it, when you really find yourself thinking (at least I do) about
the old rule... where there's smoke there's fire.

I read that he said because of all the "falsities" in the Enquirer report
that that was why he felt he could deny it and he was being "99 percent
honest". Yeah, right.

The only one I've ever known who stood up right away and acknowledged
what he had done was SF Mayor Gavin Newsom. He had an affair with
an aide's wife and when it came out he said "All of what you're hearing
and reading is true" and boy if you don't think that didn't take the wind
out of the media's sails...
