OK, she doesn't really want Creationism taught in schools.   ::rotfl::

In a 2006 gubernatorial debate, the soon-to-be governor of Alaska said of evolution and creation education, "Teach both. You know, don’t be afraid of education. Healthy debate is so important, and it’s so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both."

I'm pretty sure you already said that.

Brian, it's like addiction - once an addict, always an addict. You don't go from wanting to force rape victims to not have abortion as a legal option and thinking a supernatural person is coming for the End of Time to burn most of us in Hell forever with your home state as a refuge ... to being a normal well-adjusted modern adult. She even is on record saying she supports teaching it like I just quoted. I have no problems pinning her with all the dressings of a religious nut that doesn't know what she is talking about. Her experience is pathetic, her mentality is nutty, and if she flops for political reasons I won't buy it because this lady would want your kid learning not just Creationism, but the Bible in school if it were up to her.

Her words.

HAHAHahahahaha! Thanks I needed a good laugh. Like we're going to believe a hyper-fundamentalist Christian just suddenly forgot that the Earth is only 6000 years old, all humans are descended from a single man and woman (hey I never did understand the incest problem...) and that Alaska is "God's Refuge" after the Apocalypse.

Talk about "saying what they want to hear!"

That's like teaching that "Gravity pulls things down but it might pull them up."

Science is about fact, not opinions.

Saint, maybe she just wants both taught until the Apocalypse, and then after it, just Creationism starting in the Alaskan Refuge.  Maybe that's her way of being nice to the sinners "while they're still around."

As Brian mentioned the evolution/creation issue is a non-issue regardless of what Gov. Palin says about the issue. Neither the President or VP is going to be deciding the science curriculum taught in the public schools.

This hysteria is a diversion to hide the fact that the Democratic Congress can't pass meaning energy legislation even if their lives depend on it. These guys pass a sham of a bill that does nothing to address the problem and yet the MSM is pretty much silent, choosing instead to trumpet stories about Sarah Palin's view of evolution and creationism.

Stop that. You're scaring me. Seriously. What if she thinks, "I can say whatever I need to to get elected, it won't matter anyway after McSame dies and I push the button. Jesus will understand that I lied for Him."

You don't think it's important that a hyper-fundamentalist cult member wants to be second in charge of our country behind a cancer-ridden old man?

Dude...put out that joint and take off those sunglasses.

If she gets elected, I'm building a bomb shelter.

I always loved the "don't worry about the nut because they won't be able to do much about X" reasoning.  Everyone with real power in Government can have an influence over any of the issues we are talking about - even if indirectly.  If not now, maybe later.  So stop minimizing or covering up for a born again religious nut!

The evolution/creation issue, along with the abortion, dinosaur, and Apocalypse issue, are all important because they all shed light on what kind of an archaic nut we are putting near real power.

Stop pretending that we shouldn't care about who we put near power.  Whether it is someone in Congress or the VP, we should all care very much about whether or not the person we are electing is a dangerous mentally ill nut or not.

If you like and identify with the kind of religious nut she is, that's fine, but stop pretending like those of us who are able to identify her as a nut are supposed to be OK with her getting near the White House in any shape or form.  Not in this day and age.

Keep that Apocalypse, or Apoca-dino-lips, freak away.

LOL.....really....you kill me...if you didn't believe it, it would be even funnier.....that fact that you believe it or don't REALLY want to understand that she IS NOT THE BIG OLD MEANIE is outright scary...ANd you even get to vote....that's even scarier.

Careful!  the boogie man is going to get you....Anything else.....you know..I think she took of a mattress tag last week.....how dare her!

Go ahead and post some more hate filled stuff on Palin...you can't support your man, so the best you can do is try to tear down the other, with "facts" you come up with...No more credibility for you...

Now blast away with some half truths and lies......It's all you have and I understand now.

Why do we have to play stupid?  We know all about her spiritual home, her religious training and beliefs, her church that she visited even as Governor, where she nodded her head about Alaska being the Refuge for the Apocolypse, we know her whacky religious leaders ...

Let's stop being silly and pretending that we should assume something other than what her own words, spiritual home, and religious training and leaders are about.  There is plenty there without conflict to feel sure.  On the things that do conflict a bit, I put less weight on what she says now as she is trying to become VP and get in the White House.

We know her true, radical, nutty core.  You have to take what she shows people as a politician with a grain of salt.  You don't have to take all her years and meetings with that whacky church with a grain of salt, though.
