Sirlarme...the people don't like it....Hell, I'm one of them....but to let the ones that were supposedly responsible for oversight, blocking the legislation to put tighter restrictions on the Fannie and Freddie's is not responsible either...Unless the public UNDERSTANDS WHY it happened and who stands to gain from the situation that was allowed to fester, by the VERY party that is NOW trying to benefit from the fiasco is totally wrong...To keep Chris Dodd and Barney Frank on ANY committee that oversees that mess, that they WERE supposed to be OVERSEEING to start with with absolutely the dumbest thing I have ever heard..You can damn well bet if the Republicans were in charge of that, there would be people clamoring for their heads...with the willing press leading the way... There is blame on both sides.....but the majority of the blame is on the Democratic leaders SUPPOSEDLY in charge of the situation to begin with...Sorry if that fact keeps getting in the way.

I will admit, it sure is easier to find facts on Dems, since the Republicons cover theirs up. As far as your fact finding, Rush Limbaugh doesn't count! So, you have nothing to back up your defense of the Democrats in this........I didn't use Rush, it's on the internet anywhere you want to look...you might want to give it a shot. If you have info to the contrary, please post it..otherwise sit down......

You might want to look up why Americans left England, it wasn't just for religous freedom. We didn't start out down the Me Me Me Society path that the Republicons love. We have Thanksgiving coming up, do a little fact finding and learn what America was suppose to be about. The REPUBLIC for which it stands(maybe for which it use to stand)! LOL....I KNOW what America's about, it damn sure isn't taking from one class of people and giving to another to get their vote....Telling women you back them for equality, and then dumping them for somebody else when it's time to put up or shut up...Going to a church that God Damns America for 20 years and then dumps it temporarily because it looks bad on the campaign trail...Have a potential first lady that hated American, until THIS year.....You need to away from the Kool-Aid stand.. This may well come as a shock to you......I'm not either....but to claim the Republicans are and the Democrats aren't is to indicate you have your head in the sand... You do know that Chris Dodd, Obama and Chief Executive Officer Franklin Raines made a killing on this Fannie Mae Freddie Mac mess, don't you? Does that matter to you??? Going by your above statement it should.... The two CEOs will walk away with a combined exit package of $13 million on top of the $30 million combined salaries they "earned" last year while driving their respective companies into the ground......Both were on the Obama Economic Committee and strong obama backers...again, do you care? Being rich is not a crime....but I agree...the ones that abuse the system, Republican or Democrat should be held accountable.....In the case of this Fannie MAE, Freddie Mac and AIG fiasco......you need to look a little closer to the players from you side too.. I saw your edit... I'm talking about the extremists(of which there tends to be many more Republicons) that will do ANYTHING for it! Does anyone realize this plan that is falling apart got started by Clinton to begin with? Bush simply kept it in place and did nothing about it unit it started to tank. Now, the fed is buying up all the mortgages in default or are behind in payments. These are HOMEOWNERS..... the 'main street' folks everyone is whining that are getting shafted. Granted the fed taking over the mortgages is helping the failing banks stay afloat by taking that debt off their hands is well, helping them but not in the way people are assuming. Now if this passes, homeowners who are in default and behind will be paying their mortgage payment to the agency of the government holding the loans, thus the government makes money on the interest that was already negotiated on these loans when they were taken out by the homeowner. I'm not sitcking up for Bush here, I'm simply saying he did nothing until it was too late. Just pointing out this all didn't start with Bush either. Many things wrong with the economy started long before he took office...... Kind of like all those terrorist hits that only started becasue of him. Look, there's plenty of blame to go around here. On all issues. Just keep in mind Socialism or socialist solutions are NOT the answer. I don't know what is, but I know that I don't like the government telling me what to do or how to spend my money.

Right, Bush did nothing to take money out of the working mans hands! As far as National Debt, have you ever checked the charts on before and after Clinton? Since you brought it up, What did Clinton did in his term that made it so successful? Was it because the Republicans were in control of the House and Senate and forced him to sign legislations? Can you tell me ONE piece of legislation that Clinton came up with that was HIS idea? He was lucky in one respect, he did benefit from the DOT.COM boom...of course his last year wasn't so sweet either. The fact that he sat on his ass during the terrorist activities (4 bombings) and did nothing to protect this country, is one of the reasons were are having to fight a damn war....his actions or inactions I should say, were just pure anti-American. Of course he did manage to get that blow-job in the White House, the great American that he is. Don't even bring up selling us out to the Chinese and the kickbacks he still gets from that, plus his Dubai intrests alone should clue you in... But in reality, your previous post show you really don't know what's happening in the Democratic party...trust me MSNBC and CNN aren't going to tell you. Now go back to sleep..you're doing quite well at that.
