Who did this guy hire for speechwriters, fellow Texans?

because they repeated the speech a couple of times, I was able to actually count.

He said 35 words in a row -- in sort of a run-on sentence kind of way--
In those 35 words, about six sentences or so,  he used the term "Important Plan" about six or seven times

He said "uh" or "ah" (or both) an incredible SIXTEEN times --

And this is in his SPEECH?

Surely this was a carefully written speech that he just had to recite as it was on the paper in front of him...

I'm not knocking the importance of the problem -


but I hadn't actually LISTENED to a Bush speech in a couple of years...  I was flat out horrified at how he speaks like some of the patients in the nursing home my father was in === like he has to hesitate and figure out what the next part of the sentence is -- like  an Alzheimers patient, or someone beginning dementia...

it was WILD --- I've not heard something that disconnected and halting in years..

Bush has been telling America to be very afraid and that the sky is falling for almost 8 years.  I've heard NO serious discussion about this anywhere, just politicizing.  The way I look at this, if millions of Americans bought homes they couldn't afford, and put virtually no equity down on homes, and refinanced time after time so they could buy new autos, cell phones, and electronics as their non-equity homes ballooned in false value, why should they be rescued?  They should not.  And the banks, mortgage brokers and politicians who encouraged and engaged in all of these phoney schemes should be disbarred, removed from office, or prosecuted.  This country, (especially with the nomination of Palin) is really resembling a 3rd world dictatorship.

Not to get too personal here, but that's exactly what my ex did several years ago.  We had a neat place on 5 acres that we invested in together, and I watched him refinance about every two years, pulling more money out to keep the business going!  I finally Quick Claim Deeded my half to him for $1.00, and bailed!  Now he's stuck holding the bag.  The place is worth twice what he owes even now, IN A GOOD MARKET!  He's trying to sell, and he may end up losing the whole thing..........  About 9 years ago, I took my share of the money, and bought the little house my parents are living in now!
