THAT is the kind of BS to quit posting -- Focus on what matters --- what HE himself has chosen to DO as a politician that makes him a problem.. there is PLENTY of that.

Bash the people who bash Obama for STUPID things -- you'll note that I've mostly gone after the "he's a Muslim" and "He's not an American" stuff. I don't care for his association with Wright, Ayers, or many others. 2. Bash those folks who were thinking of Palin just because she had "spunk" and was a bright happy ditzy soccer mom type -- and weren't thinking "DID she in fact do a good job of being a political person, without baggage" Truth is, she HAS baggage, incompetence, she's a short-timer in national politics, as much so as Obama is. I like McCain -- always have. I just wish I could understand from him exactly HOW it is that his plans are going to WORK -- and not have hidden surprises that end up costing ME more money to benefit the corporations that will STILL send the $$$ overseas, etc.

24HourNut wrote: Obama is one of the least American people to ever run for President, possibly. Which ain't necessarily a bad thing, these days. (Insert winkie emoticon). But seriously, I think a change was needed. I voted for him. First time I've voted for somebody who actually won! Will it be the right change? Time will tell. Is the message of hope sincere, or just more political popcorn? I dunno. I bought into it, knowing full well that I was swallowing a good bit of political spin, regardless. That would be the case with any political candidate, though, and I think I can see some sincerity there. Me and a whole lot of other people in this country bought in. Now let's see if we get our vote's worth. I wouldn't want the man's job. One man can only do so much. But from every thing I've seen, I trust him... so far. As to Obama being born in Kenya? I don't believe it, but it matters not one tiny bit to me, anyway. IF they can PROVE Hawaii was a lie and he really was born in Kenya, THEN we've got an issue, but it smells like sour grapes loser whining or crackpot conspiracy theory or urban legend to me. (Which reminds me, I haven't checked Snopes in a week or two... I wonder what they've got to say about this one. True or false, I am sure it'll be posted there before long, if it hasn't been, already...)

Saint...at this point it's moot...but that birth certificate is a copy...not notarized as it should be and dated 2007 if you look at the date on it....It could have been made by anybody, and you would think that since the man has been running for office for a long time, been in the public eye in Chicago for a long time, he would have one dated BEFORE it was necessary to prove it to run for President.....it took a court action to get this copy....I have reversed the pic so you can clearly see the date.. Just one of the many questions about the man... ![]()

Supreme Court Has ordered Obama’s Birth Certificate Lawyer Philip Berg’s lawsuit questioning Barack Obama’s “natural born” status has entered a do-or-die phase after the Supreme Court has ordered the president-elect to produce his birth certificate by December 1st. Berg, who appealed his case to America’s highest court, was told by Justice David Souter’s Clerk that his petition for an injunction to stay the November 4th election was denied. The Clerk also required the defendants (Obama, the DNC, and FEC) to respond to the Writ of Certiorari by December 1. At that time, Obama must present an authentic birth certificate to the Court, which has been sealed by Hawaii governor Linda Lingle. Berg will get to respond afterwards. Failure to do that will surely inspire the skepticism of the Justices in Obama, who are not used to being defied. The Court will have to decide what to do about a president-elect who refuses to prove his natural-born citizenship. “I can see a unanimous Court (en banc) decertifying the election if Obama refuses to produce his birth certificate,” says attorney and writer Raymond S. Kraft. “They cannot do otherwise without abandoning all credibility as guardians of the Constitution. Even the most liberal justices, however loathe they may to do this, still consider themselves guardians of the Constitution. The Court is very jealous of its power - even over presidents, even over presidents-elect. ” Obama’s own campaign website has stated the president-elect was a Kenyan citizen until 1982. Audio of Obama’s Kenyan grandmother saying he was born in Kenya has recently surfaced. On December 13, the Electoral College meets to casts its votes. If it has been determined that Mr. Obama is an illegal alien and therefore ineligible to become President of the United States, the Electors will be duty-bound to honor the Constitution.

You're just hoping they'd immediately just hand the election to McCain. That might or might not happen. The Dems would be within their rights to say that Biden or Clinton should get the Electoral votes. Or to do a whole new election. Most voters would want that last option, not to see the SCOTUS be who decides the President. At that point, we could just all not vote, and every four years, SCOTUS would pick a President.

You're just hoping they'd immediately just hand the election to McCain. Look Nostradamus, you have no idea what I'm thinking.. OK? I don't care at this point....I am sure that if something comes up that puts the election or Obama in doubt, it will get solved... I agree...the voters should be the decider.....Of course if it goes to court, so be it. Somebody has to do the job. As far as I am concerned, and I believe I have made this perfectly clear on a number of times...the election is over...The choice was made. I have to live with it.. "You have no idea who I voted for." True...but going by some of the posting you did during the election, you were never for the GOP, always defended the Democrats, and seldom gave props to the third party.. IF you did, in fact, vote, I'll wager it wasn't for the GOP.

Well, Nostradamus, you get annoyed when other people think they know what you're thinking...so you might want to not do it to other people. Just a thought.

I think Obama will meet the deadline, with time to spare. As I've said before, there's no chance that the Democrats would've been so sloppy as to let this kind of issue slip past them. Congress is made primarily of lawyers. They just wouldn't let something this boneheaded slip by. On the on in one trillion chance that Obama's citizenship did fly under the radar, the most likely outcome wouldn't be a new election. It's not the election that's in doubt with this issue. It's Obama's eligibility for office that is the question. The most likely outcome, then, would be that Obama would have to resign. If he didn't choose to resign, he could be impeached, on the basis of having committed fraud to get into the presidency. If impeachment charges were brought (which I think they'd have to be, because it's a pretty cut-and-dried requirement under the Constitution), it would be interesting to see what would happen. Would the Republicans find the support they needed to have Obama impeached and convicted? I doubt it. If the public didn't support Clinton's impeachment, I can't imagine they'd support impeaching Obama, simply because his victory in the election was so historic and (electorally, at least) decisive. But all of that is historical fiction, as far as I'm concerned. There isn't really any chance that the people who put Obama up for election during the primaries and general election would make such a stupid mistake.
