If it were Obama hanging there, you can bet it would be a totally different story...This is such a sad statement from the so-called open minded, loving, understanding, all inclusive left..

If you are a woman or black, you have to fit into the mold that left has created, if you don't they will hate you and do all they can to destroy you!

But you can be a gay childbuggering member of the GOP and the Religious Right will find it in their hearts to "heal you" and "forget" that you did such a thing.

Nope...you are wrong....But no matter....you see things the way you want to...

With Barney Frank leading the way, you sure sit in a glass house.

Back to the OP...I guess the effigy was OK with you since you didn't condemn it.

Big difference between a black man and a white woman being hung up, with that said, I still don't think it is in good taste, even at Halloween.

I'll agree with that, to give Mill an answer to the thread.

And no, UTR, I don't think the GOP is alone in that.

What they ARE alone in is pretending they don't do it-

The Dems I know who are gay or whatever--- do not go out and tell everyone that they "support family values".

They don't sponsor anti-gay legislation when THEY are closet gays.

I do not like the fact that some Dems are gay, any more than I do GOP politicians being that way.

But I hate hypocrites like Sen. Craig and the other GOP guy who was GAY and writing anti-gay legislation --- even more.

Being in a morally wrong position, and being open and honest about it is one thing.

Being morally wrong, and DENYING that you're immoral

is sheer stupidity.

There you go lumping all of the Republicans together again....That is no more true than thinking every Democrat is gay, because the all support gay rights, or every democrat is for men marrying men and women marrying women...we know that is not true, and it's also true that every Republican doesn't feel the same way that the majority feels.

You're smarter than that, at least I thought you were...I guess every Democrat is a thief and a tax evader too??...Since Charlie Rangle was caught?...Is that how you see it? It's possible that Craig hates his lifestyle, and feels that the way he voted was actually best for the country, and not like the Democrats vote, what's best for them.

Are you so close minded that you think we all are that way?....Are you like every Democrat? Every Liberal?...sheesh.

This is more than once you that you have brought up the gay issue....Is there something you need to confess????::rotfl::

This is not a statement from the left, it's a real childish statement from two gay guys in West Hollywood who simply have had Mother problems for most of their lives.

I did think it was humorous that these same losers had a model of John McCain in a burning up airplane coming out of their chimney.   You know that Gay men are fond of tunnels don't you.

Dr. Steve

And that was REPREHENSIBLE, even about someone like Britney.

I think the pair were simply being attention whores.

As far as I know, you're allowed First Amendment protection for hanging someone in effigy as a protest.  That might be different since she's a vice presidential candidate, but I don't know.

Having said that, there's an old saying that I think applies to situations like this:

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Anyway, it appears that the pair has taken down the effigy.  "Coincientally", this was just after a protester showed up with a hanged effigy of one of the homeowners.

(Gee, I wonder if they see effigies as a threatening gesture now...  ::scratch::)
